I started this blog with these melo-dramatic reasons from my first post:
Now, what I like about blogging (/writing) boils down into three things:
“That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone.” – Fitzgerald
One thing I learned in my blog was my fears aren’t different from others. Once I wrote something because I was feeling down, those posts revealed the same sentiments my friends have. Later on, they would write about how they feel on that topic and it opened something we never got to discuss before.
“We who make stories know that we tell lies for a living. But they’re good lies that say true things. [...] Because somewhere out there is someone who needs that story.” – Gaiman
I would like to think that when I write stories, especially stories of my own experiences, somewhere, someone would relate to that story. Knowing that would motivate me to blog more.
Most importantly,
“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Jobs
Writing is a future I’d like to own. Period.
